is it april yet?

So I don't know about you, but the month of March is endlessly dragging on for me. Here in Pennsylvania, it is STILL....COLD. And for a girl who lives for warm temps, this has been a long month of anticipating spring. And of waking up each morning *hoping* that temps will peak above 50 for at least an hour or two at some point during the day so that we can play outside without the excessive parade of heavy coats, gloves and hats.

In protest, I went ahead and made my favorite springtime salad this weekend...

Tomato & Mozzarella Salad with Basil

Literally the easiest recipe in the world..... chop tomatoes & fresh mozzarella, throw in some fresh basil, toss with olive oil, and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Delish.

The rest of our weekend was quiet and highly productive.

We organized toys, pulled out the kids spring and summer clothes, cleaned out some bedroom closets, and made several piles for Goodwill. I absolutely LOVE purging out the junk in our house at this time of year.

And we did get to enjoy some semi-tolerable temperatures as well.

Hop scotch in the driveway is always a favorite.

Which make afternoon naps even that much sweeter....

And because I love including some completed prints....here are just a few that were mailed out this weekend.

Mod "Husband" Print found here.

Mod Definition Print found here.

One of my favorite things about designing custom prints for people are learning the unique stories of my customers. I get to learn about their beautiful Love Stories, their priceless birth stories, and the personalities of their precious loved ones.

I had the great honor of completing the above Mod Defintion Print for a customer who wanted to honor her late niece's memory. She wrote an incredibly touching "definition" of baby Rose. "Mama's little fighter" just brought me to tears.

THANK YOU to all my customers who graciously allow me to tell their stories and give me the opportunity to create a special memento to hang in their home. I love my job!

Have you "liked" Mod Memento on Facebook yet? Well why not??!!!! Go here!
And on a related note.... M and I finally watched the movie, The Social Network this weekend and loved it. Have you seen it??!

Haven't seen Social Network yet, but you and M need to rent or Netflix Catfish. It's a documentary about Facebook. It's really interesting...and nothing scary, no murder...and only a little mayhem. --Sarah

What a nice weekend you all had! I adore those pictures of your little girl before naptime - what a sweetheart. And now I'm craving mozzarella! :) Sorry I've been slacking on commenting - I had a little baby boy a few weeks ago so blogging has fallen to the wayside. I look forward to catching up on your blog!
