I'm an East Coast girl, born & raised. But oh my goodness does the West Coast have some beautiful scenery!
M and I, along with 2 other couples vacationed in Sonoma last week and it was so much fun. I will let the photos do the talking.

We rented a house about 10 minutes from downtown Sonoma via VRBO.com. It was so much better than staying in an expensive hotel room!
The house had a pool and hot tub. And you can even see that the owner has a mini vineyard started on his property. The grapevines were just beginning to grow.
Olive trees!
M has a great love for hole-in-the wall Mexican food. We found THE PERFECT spot. :) It's called Jalisco's Taqueria in case you're in the area.
I'm actually not a wine drinker. But I absolutely fell in love with the scenery and culture of California Wine Country. I had no idea all the science and art that went into wine-making. I have such an appreciation for it now. And not only that, but we had some great quality time with friends. Indulged in some seriously amazing dinners. Soaked in the scenery. Made some memories.
For those of you who are interested, here is a list of the Wineries we visited:
Gloria Ferrer
Benziger - Our favorite of the whole week - this is a must visit!
Chateau St. Jean
Sebastiani - This was our least favorite place, fyi.
Sojourn
Gundlach Bundschu
Landmark
We chose these based on recommendations from family, friends, and Wine Spectator reviews.
Recommended Dining:
The Girl and the Fig
Cafe Le Haye
Sunflower Caffe
Della Santini's
And one other recommendation.... two of the five days we were there, we rented a limo to drive us around. It was so nice to have someone else navigate for us! We found half price deals on Groupon so be on the lookout if you're planning a trip.
If you'd like more details on the vrbo.com house we rented, shoot me an email. We would highly recommend this specific house!
One final thing I need to note is that this trip would NOT have been possible without my incredible mother-in-law who stayed with the kids BY HERSELF the entire time we were gone. She has more energy than I do. And the best part is that the kids didn't even know we were gone. They were having a blast with Nonni. We adore her and are endlessly thankful for her love and support of getaway trips like this!
