Well we've been spending a lot of our time this summer at the pool. I feel like we've been living in our bathing suits for the past two months. But as much as we love the pool, it was a nice change of pace to hit the river yesterday with friends. The boys shoveled or threw rocks the entire time. The girls looked for treasure. And the moms had some great conversation just lounging in our beach chairs. We had the whole place to ourselves.
It's been a fun realization this summer that I don't actually have to be in the water with my kids at all times anymore. AF is swimming like a champ on her own now and DR is fine to cruise around in his puddle jumper even if I'm not by his side. It's allowed our summer to be a bit more adventurous and flexible.
And in other swimming related news, I am in love with this print. I want it for AF's room!

Ah, isn't it so nice when they are past the toddler stage and can wade in by themselves!? We have a man made lake, and it's wonderful not having to worry so much about my older girls when we are there!
Your photos always tell the most beautiful story. Hope you are well my friend :)
Love your photos! I have been craving a river trip since the one we took in early summer. So much fun!
